The Moldova Wine Guild is a non-profit association established in August 2007 by several of Moldova’s leading private wineries. Together, the wineries export more than one third of all Moldovan wine. Our member wineries are united by their desire to raise Moldova’s profile as a major European wine producing country. To accomplish this goal, our members work together to promote their wines on the international stage through joint marketing initiatives and to educate the international wine trade and press about Moldova.
Our vision is to facilitate Moldova’s recognition as a legitimate and viable European wine-producing region that has great potential for quality and fruit driven wines.
Our mission is to become a strong marketing association that enhances the competitiveness of MWG members, building recognition and awareness for its wines, raising its country profile on the international market, and developing the domestic market.
We advance our mission by participating jointly at international wine exhibitions and trade shows to promote our fine Moldovan wines, by organizing visits to Moldova for members of the international wine press and trade, and by researching target markets. We also work together to help set industry priorities in Moldova and to increase domestic consumption.
Our values are openness, transparency, and independence.
Membership is open to any Moldovan winery that produces high quality wine, cares about its reputation and that of other Moldovan producers, shares our vision, and agrees with our guiding principles and beliefs, which include but are not limited to improving the Moldovan wine industry and promoting the country?s winemaking image internationally.
