In March, Moldovan wines were featured in a stand alone supplement published by Harpers Wine & Spirits Weekly, edited by Caroline Gilby MW. The supplement described Moldova’s winemaking history, discussed its grape varieties — international and indigenous — and featured the seven members of the Moldova Wine Guild and their wines. The supplement was an important tool for focusing the international wine community’s — especially in English speaking countries — attention to Moldova and its wines.
