The Moldova Wine Guild seeks its fortune in the east

The Moldova Wine Guild is looking east. In May, several members — Acorex Wine Holding, Chateau Vartely, DK Intertrade, Lion Gri and Vinaria Purcari — exhibited during Vinexpo Asia Pacific 2008 in Hong Kong where they showcased their wines to Asian wine traders and consumers from throughout the region. During the expo, the participating wineries established important industry contacts, critical to capturing a piece of the fast-growing Asian consumer market. Guild members are enthusiastic about participating in future trade shows in the Asia Pacific due to the success they achieved in 2008.
